Great News! The website for Trout University Troutu is enjoying great success. As a result, many new loyal visitors come to the website every day, so the Troutu family is growing rapidly.To make the site more user friendly for repeat visitors to navigate the site, selecting courses, reading blogs, etc, Chancellor Steve requested Tom, the Director of Information Technology, to reorganize the home page. This has been accomplished over the weekend and we hope that our objectives were accomplished.Steve has assured us that the site will continue to evolve to meet the expectations of the ever growing list of visitors. For the girls, it is planned to be pink and have pockets for a sippy cup, sun glasses as well as for fishing supplies; and oh yes, did I mention snacks? Trout University Chancellor Steve publishes ebook!

We at the Trout University TroutU are excited by Chancellor Steve's first publication in a series of ebooks. The ebook entittled "Small Stream Trout Fishing" is available in the Kindle version at Amazon Kindle for the very affordable price of $3.99. Steve said that he wants to keep the price affordable so that everyone can learn to enjoy trout fishing in the small mountain streams such as are found in The Great Smoky Mountains Park.
Steve is planning a CyberGuide series in conjunction with the teaching and classes held at the University. His plans include video guides of numerous fishing trips. Each CyberGuide video will include trail maps, techniques, specific information about the trout population, how to make your approach, what flies or baits that will work on that particular stream, and much, much more. Be sure to check back at TroutU for details about the release of the PDF version of "Small Stream Trout Fishing" as well as others in the CyberGuide series.

Yes, we are checking into the tooling and the capability to produce Mongo bats. We may just bring it back to satisfy the popular demand.
The Mongo is war against the cyber games and it is much less ugly. less bloody and less violent. The worst thing that can happen when Mongoing is that you trip while running. Check ou this video of Mongoing to observe the action.

Update to Orvis Warehouse Sale Blog

When I went to the Orvis sale at the Metrolina Fair Grounds in Good ol' Charlotte. I scurried to the waders and picked up two pairs of Tailwaters XT waders for $39 each.

Now the rest of the story! We went trout fishing in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park Saturday 3/21/09. We tested those waders and found them to be very well made and tough enough to stand up to the thick underbrush that surrounds the small streams in the Park. We like the small streams as that is where the wild trout are located.

Last year, I had the breathable waders, and they were lite weight and super cool. However, when I lent them to my grandson, they came back in shreds. the tears from the underbrush were so great that repairing them would be impossible. Did not have that experience with the new waders.

The conclusion: Neoprene waders were fine when we went to Alaska, lite breathable waders were fine for rivers, but if you want durability, the Orvis Tailwaters XT waders are the ones to purchase.

Quiting Retirement is Easy

Retirement is easy, I can quit whenever I choose. Not so! I have retired several times, but now I find myself an author. I have published several articles on Associated Content. Also, I am a full professor at the Trout University where I have written several on line classes for teaching the art of trout fishing. So, now I am working on the computer about six hours per day and I have applied for a part time job outside the home as well.

Here I am again trying to be a misfit salesman. We have a series of 4 CDs featuring childrens classic stories. fairy tales and lessons. My first attempt to sell these series will be Chic Fil A since they have been marketing a similar series featuring foreigh languages.

I have tried placing the U-LOCS in kennels, hardware stores, pool supply stores with absolutely no results in 2 months! I have contacted Stanley Works and they appeared somewhat interested, but they have not contacted me lately. I tried Lowes but they referred me to the lock manufacturers who are their vendors. I saw that a child drowned in a pool in Charlotte, but I could not get the city or the health department interested in preventing any future drownings. I believe that I will start to seek another muse.....

I wondered why I should increase my hours to four when I was already retired and working no hours per week? However, I went to the United Inventers web site. http://www.uiausa.com/

Once there, I found a neat invention waiting for someone to license it for marketing. It was called U-LOC. http://www.nokeyuloc.com/

Next, I will comment on my marketing endeavors, but a clue first. Now, I am up to 6 hours per week and would have been about 12 hours per week if I did not get a new computer

Comfort Zone

I have spent the day trying to break out of my comfort zone for the first time in years, or perhaps, ever. I have made several sales calls to conduct a market survey for my new keyless lock system. Scarry! Now up to about 12 hours a week passing the 4 hour work week, quickly.

I am so busy that I have gone from zero hours per week up to 5 hours per week and climbing. Guess I better read that book again or get my money back. Wait a minute I did not pay for the book.

4 Hour Work Week

Having read and been inspired by the famous 4-Hour Work Week, I am diligently trying to increase my work to 4 hours per week. Thus far, it has been rewarding and satisfying, but I haven't been able to reach that 4 hour peak yet. It takes all my concentration to get up to three hours.

Starting a blog seems a good a way as any to increase my production. So here I am.

Now... time for a little R&R.
